CREATE MOVEMENT

Right after I posted about how mindset changes the game when it comes to problem-solving, I came across this fantastic post from Sahil Bloom (https://lnkd.in/eYDpEpNC) in which he details a Three Step Method to get out of a rut.

Every word there clicks, but I will highlight two concepts:

  • Elevate your mindset: Eliminate negativity and give yourself a break. We´ve all been there at some point.

  • Create movement: I´ll post about procrastination later, but this is critical. Start small, build from there — minimum Viable Progress. Anything above zero is more than zero. ⏩

As a quick guide, I wanted to share a simple Problem-solving cycle:

1- Identify the problem. What is the root cause of the problem?
2- Brainstorm solutions. Come up with as many possible solutions as possible, even if they seem crazy. (and please, reduce meetings to a minimum)
3- Evaluate solutions. Consider the pros and cons of each solution.
4- Choose a solution. Select the solution that you think is the best fit for the problem.
5- Implement the solution. Execute, get going.
6- Evaluate the results. Did your solution solve the problem? If not, go back to the drawing board.
